OTHER WAYS TO GIVE

IRA Required Minimum Distribution

Ask your financial institution to donate RMD funds directly to the Unitarian Universalist Church of Augusta, a qualified 501c3 organization, to avoid the tax normally due on the distribution.

Legacy Giving

Name the Unitarian Universalist Church of Augusta as a beneficiary for an insurance policy, investment account, or other financial accounts.

Property

Donate appreciated property, such as stocks, to the Endowment Fund which provides the donor the ability to make a donation without realizing the capital gains.

Second Sunday Special Offering
On the Second Sunday of each month, we take up a special collection during the offertory to benefit a local humanitarian cause or organization doing social service/justice work in the community. In doing this, we are following in the footsteps of many other UU congregations locally and nationally and we are proud to be able to join their ranks of generosity and good care of our neighbors. Recipients are selected by the Board and Social Justice team with input from the congregation.

Donations to the organization chosen for that month may be made online through our Donate button, or with cash or checks placed in the provided envelopes when the collection plate is passed. Recipient organizations are published in the church newsletter and in the Orders of Service on second Sunday mornings. We take pride in being a generous congregation!
